2011 - My Year
After much umming and ahhing I have decided to continue on with my blogging.
Around Christmas time I decided to stop altogether as I was bored with it to be honest and my interests are diverting a little from the general theme of the blog.

But today, looking back through old posts I decided that its such a great visual diary of our life as a family it would be a shame to stop documenting our little lives.
We've also been incredibly busy and I must admit to living my life a little bit more than photographing it lately. Especially during our annual Christmas party where not only did I forget to take any photos but I also forgot that I had put food into the oven inside while I was partying outside and burnt everything to smithereens - fire brigade anyone??????
Anyway......I am going to continue with this blog but it will be more in a diary format than as an address to the general public.
The things I'm still passionate about are.....
family
retro living
organic living
green living
non-consumerist pursuits

The things I'm not so passionate about anymore are....
craft
knitting and crocheting
scrapbooking and card making
baking
cooking (in general)

This years focus is on......

losing weight
doing new things
leaving behind the stuff that doesn't work for me anymore.

Glad you are still going to blog! The blogosphere is a wierd medium, in some respects, but you've hit the nail on the head it is a great 'diary' of your life and times, and it connects people with similar interests, even though, like us, we don't even know each other. And particularly the pursuit of non-consumerist pursuits (LOL), it can feel rather isolating when everyone around you is so into shopping etc, it's good to know not everyone is that way inclined. Keep it up, I look forward to reading your posts in 2011.
It is your blog and you can write about whatever you like. I think everyone has times when some things are more important than others and it will change fromm time to time. Glad to see you will still be blogging.
Yes, Vanessa,I do agree, I started mine as a journal, and that is the main purpose, though it has been great to read posts and meet some great people.
May you continue to enjoy being here in blogland.

Thanks so much ladies. The support is really appreciated. Vanessa
Yay!!!! So glad you're back. I missed hearing about your life. As others have said it's your blog - so blog about what you want to :-).
I treat my blog like a diary as well. As you know it's definitely not themed like a lot of them are. I just blog about things we've done and things that are on my mind.

Yay, glad you're continuing, I love reading your blog. Enjoy your trip to NYC in June -- it's a great time of year to visit (I live 40 minutes north of NYC).
