Etsy

Have you ever had a look through the wonderful stuff on Etsy? For those who don't know, Etsy is an online marketplace for crafty folk to sell their wares.

Boy, there sure are some talented people out there. And I met a lovely lady today called Marsha who lives in the USA. Marsha crocheted the wonderful afghan below and I promptly bought it from her. (Actually my son wants to buy it for me for Mother's day - thanks Broc.)

I absolutely adore the colours and the hexagonal granny squares. It's my first international buy from Etsy and it's Marsha's very first sale. So we were both kinda excited. Let's hope it all goes well.

That's not to say that I've given up on my own plans to learn to crochet - it's just that a little inspiration never hurt anyone.

Oh I love, love, love Etsy... I can waste sooooo many hours on that site.

I opened my own Etsy store this week and I have stuff to put in it but I need to take some decent photos first!

The afgan is lovely. How talented must that lady be!

that's weird!! I was about to say how much I love Etsy and your new afghan but it looks like I have already said that (but I don't have an Etsy shop or anything to sell unfortunately)

The Store address is http://www.etsy.com/shop/snickercreations if you want to check it out.

Not much in it at the moment, but at least it's a start!
